Tongchang South Mosque is in Xinqu Village, Jingui Town, Helan County, Ningxia. More than a century old, it covers 6,670 square metres, 15 km east of the county town and 1 km from the Yellow River. Its architecture blends Han–Tang artistic style with Islamic elements, with a prayer hall, ablution rooms and a classical pavilion amid pines, cypresses and flowers, and it is the main place of worship for local Hui Muslims. In 2019 it was listed in Helan County's first batch of county-level protected cultural relics. Muslims gather here for Friday prayers and on traditional festivals.
