📍 Lintan · Chengguan Town 🏛️ 1380

📜 About & history

Sujiazhuangzi Mosque lies in Sujiazhuangzi Village, about 2.5 km east of Chengguan Town in Lintan County. First built in 1380 (13th year of the Ming Hongwu era), it belongs to the Beizhuang Gongbei order. The site was originally a Tibetan Buddhist temple, converted into a prayer hall after Hui settlers arrived in the early Ming. In 1932 it was enlarged into a classical hall of three linked sections, and in 1987 a three-bay vestibule was added. Its grey-brick reliefs show bamboo and flowers, and the mihrab bears Quranic verses carved in brick.
