📜 About & history
Shuyang Mosque was built in 1908 by a local gentleman surnamed Zhang. Facing east, it is a brick-and-timber building with grey tiles in Ming–Qing style, comprising a three-bay prayer hall and four corridor rooms (about 120 square metres). Occupied by state bodies from 1956, it resumed religious use after the reform era began, and the county government has repaired it several times since 1974. It became a county protected site in 1999 and a Suqian municipal protected site in 2005; its latest restoration passed inspection in November 2023.
