The Shaanxi Grand Mosque is one of the major congregational mosques in the old town of Guyuan, a historically Hui-majority city in southern Ningxia. It was established by Hui merchants and settlers of Shaanxi origin, a naming pattern (Shaanxi Mosque) found across northwestern Chinese cities. The mosque sits in Songjia Lane within the Chengguan district of Yuanzhou. It serves as a central place of worship for the surrounding Hui neighbourhoods.
