📜 About & history

Quantun Mosque, also called Zhenguang ("True Light") Mosque, was built in 1891 (17th year of the Qing Guangxu era). Its hall was badly damaged in the Cultural Revolution, and in 1986 local Muslims relocated and rebuilt it. The 6-mu site has men's and women's halls in a mixed Chinese-Western style totalling about 500 square metres. It serves over 200 Hui households and keeps 30 hand-copied Qur'ans and 40 Arabic scrolls.
