The North Mosque is the third of the historic trio of mosques (South, East and North) in Shenyang's old Hui quarter west of the former city walls. As Shenyang's Hui community expanded during the Qing, more than a dozen smaller mosques were built to supplement the South Mosque, of which the North Mosque is one. It serves the local Muslim community for daily and Friday worship. It sits within the same Shenhe District neighbourhood as its two better-documented sister mosques.

Reached via buses serving the Shenhe Hui quarter; confirm route numbers locally.
About 4-5 km southeast of Shenyang North Railway Station; take a taxi into the Shenhe Hui quarter.
