📜 About & history

An old Uyghur mosque in Turpan's old town, first built in 1747 and rebuilt several times. A thorough renovation in 1983 gave it its present appearance, with six pagoda-like wooden minaret (munar) shafts flanking the gateway and its facade decorated in bright green, yellow and white with grape and floral patterns. It stands on the south side of Xincheng Road near the East Great Mosque.
