📜 About & history
Pingliang Northeast Mosque on Panxuan East Road in the city centre was built in 1920 at the initiative of Liu Fugui, Ma Guide and others. Destroyed in 1958, it was rebuilt from 1987 under Guo Jingwen, Ma Delin and Ma Xuechang and completed in 1989. The new hall is a square tower-like building of two storeys, about 20 metres high: the lower floor houses quarters for the imam and students and the management office, and the upper floor is the prayer hall. It is the tallest mosque in Pingliang, serving 130 households (650 people).
