📜 About & history
Ankang North Mosque was founded in 1502 (Ming Hongzhi 15) on Nanzheng Street in the old city. Like the other Ankang mosques it was destroyed in the great July 1983 flood; reconstruction began in 1984 and was completed in 1994.

Old city of Hanbin District on Nanzheng Street; central city buses nearby.
No Arab trader quarter; visitors usually come from Xi'an by rail.
No metro. From Ankang Railway Station take a taxi into the old city (Nanzheng Street), about 10-15 minutes.
Within the Ankang old-city Hui quarter, close to the Inner City Mosque; halal food nearby. Languages: Mandarin, local dialect.
