📜 About & history

After Nanyuan Airport was built, a small Hui community formed in Nanyuan, and the mosque was founded in 1929 and enlarged in the 1930s. It was closed during the Cultural Revolution, repaired in 1980 and renovated in 1998, after which it covered 350 square metres. Since the Nanyuan shanty-town redevelopment began in 2009 the mosque has faced relocation.
