广河县南街清真大寺
📍 Linxia · Guanghe County

📜 About & history

Nanjie Grand Mosque is in Chengguan Town, Guanghe County, Gansu, on the south side of the Lan–Lang Highway, directly across the road from Zhijie Mosque. It covers about 4 mu and serves 110 Hui and Dongxiang households who follow the Ikhwan tradition; the imam is Ma Zhongyuan. The seven-bay prayer hall has a nine-ridge hip-and-gable roof of grey machine-made tiles, with about 600 square metres of floor space, fronted by a flat-roofed canopy on square concrete pillars. The white minaret has a rounded dome and a five-sided shaft with eaves at each level. North and south wings each have four brick-and-timber rooms, the courtyard is planted with cypresses and flowers, and a side courtyard north of the prayer hall holds seven classrooms for religious study. The dome is clad in green tiles with white Arabic lettering, and the mosque is among the largest in the area.
