📍 Lintan · Changchuan Township

📜 About & history

Minjiazui Mosque is in Minjiazui Village, Changchuan Township, 5 km southeast of the Lintan county town. Village and mosque are named after the Min family, the first Hui settlers; it is also called the "Kouqiu" mosque. The village is entirely Hui, with over 100 households and some 600 people. In the 1930s, as the Yihewani movement spread in northwest China, most villagers adopted it. Local imam Li Guoliang stressed training religious scholars, and his son Imam Li Wende led the mosque for several decades.
