📜 About & history
Mashizhuang Mosque was founded in 1489 (2nd year of the Ming Hongzhi era) by Ma Liang, who had settled in the village; a plaque reading "Kaitian gujiao" hangs over its gate. Parts were burned in the Guangxu era; villagers rebuilt the hall, ablution house and lecture hall in 1950; floods damaged it in 1963, and in 1974 its buildings became a school. Repaired in 1982 and with a new ablution house in 1986, it resumed religious use and was registered as a venue for religious activities in 1994.
