Sandaohe Mosque is a Qing-dynasty mosque in the historic salt-town area of Heijing, a former imperial salt-mining center in Lufeng City. Salt merchants, including Hui Muslim traders who moved along Yunnan's inland salt and trade routes, helped establish a Muslim community in the area, and the mosque is preserved today as a municipal-level protected cultural heritage site.

Heijing town is served by long-distance buses from Lufeng and Chuxiong; from Heijing town center the mosque is a short local taxi ride or walk away.
There is no Arab expatriate community in Lufeng or Heijing; the nearest sizeable halal dining and Muslim community options are in Kunming, about 2 hours away by expressway.
Heijing town, where the mosque is located, is about 1-1.5 hours by car from central Lufeng City.
Heijing is a well-preserved historic salt-town popular with domestic tourists for its Ming-Qing architecture; the mosque itself is a modest, active place of worship and should be visited respectfully.
