📜 About & history
Lintan Huasi Great Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Gannan Prefecture. It was built in 1380 (13th year of the Ming Hongwu era) by the general Mu Ying for the Hui garrison as the "Taozhou Prayer Hall" and renamed when its congregation followed the Huasi order. It was destroyed and rebuilt five times, most recently after 1968; the present three-storey concrete building of 1985 combines Chinese and Arab forms. The site covers 10.5 mu and it has over 6,000 adherents.
