The Lhasa Great Mosque, also called the Hebalin Mosque, is the principal mosque in the Tibetan capital and serves the Hui and Kashmiri-descended Muslims who have lived in Lhasa for centuries. Founded in the early 18th century during the Qing dynasty, it is the heart of the historic Hebalin Muslim quarter east of the Jokhang Temple.
