📜 About & history
Jiasong Mosque was founded in 1556 (35th year of the Ming Jiajing era) and first rebuilt in 1867; in the Republican era it housed Zhenping County's Second Sino-Arabic School. Damaged in the Cultural Revolution, it was rebuilt by local people in 1988 as an Arab-style two-storey building crowned by a six-pillared green dome, with two-storey minarets on either side. In December 2011 it was listed in Zhenping County's second batch of protected heritage sites.
