📜 About & history
Ibrahim Mosque on Ferry Street, Mong Kok, is Hong Kong's sixth and newest mosque. In March 2011 a Muslim group applied to the government for a site, and in 2012 the Lands Department granted a lot on Hoi Wang Road; construction began in July 2013 and the mosque, holding 350 worshippers, opened on 24 November 2013 with washrooms, a store room, a meeting room and an imam's office. Because of the Central Kowloon Route project it moved in October 2020 to a site beneath the West Kowloon Corridor flyover on Ferry Street, at the junction with Shantung Street.
