📍 Bazhou 🏛️ Mid-Ming dynasty

📜 About & history

Houliangjian Mosque in Houliangjian Village, Bazhou, was founded in the mid-Ming dynasty, over 500 years ago. Its old hall had a copper roof finial and a red-sandalwood board in front, and four ancient pines and cypresses still stand in the courtyard. It was rebuilt in 1997 with joint government and Muslim funding; the 225-square-metre hall holds more than 400 worshippers and is accompanied by three 20-metre moon-viewing towers.
