📜 About & history
The North Mosque is one of the cluster of historic mosques in Hohhot's old Hui quarter along Tongdao Street, established as the Hui population grew and additional congregations (fang) split off from the Great Mosque. It sits toward the northern end of the Tongdao Street district. Like its neighbours it serves a resident Hui community and holds daily and Friday prayers. It is counted among the traditional mosques of the old town.
