Built in 1933 in the county town of Guide, on the Yellow River south of Xining. It comprises a main prayer hall and a minaret/awakening tower, the hall crowned by an arched, umbrella-like Arab-style hexagonal roof with fine relief carving. It is recorded in the Silk Road heritage database.

In central Heyin town; walkable from the Guide bus station, or a short taxi.
From Xining's Dongguan take a Guide-bound bus or car; the mosque is central in the county town.
Guide is about 110 km south of Xining (roughly 2 hours by bus over the Lajishan pass); the mosque sits in the county-town core near the Yellow River.
Guide is known for its Yellow River scenery and clear water; halal food in the county town. Mandarin spoken.
