Guiyang Mosque was originally built in 1724, the second year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing dynasty, making it roughly three centuries old. The present green-domed prayer hall, crowned with an Islamic crescent and star, is a large modern building erected in front of the original three-hundred-year-old mosque. It was designated a municipal cultural relic protection unit in 1983, named a national model mosque in 2000, and listed as a provincial-level protected site in 2013. It is the principal mosque of Guiyang city and the seat of the local Islamic association.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
In the Hequn Road / Yan'an Road area of central Guiyang, near the Penshuichi commercial hub.
Head to the Penshuichi area in the city centre; the mosque is on Xiazhuangyuan Street, an alley off Hequn/Yan'an Road.
Take Metro Line 2 to Penshuichi Station; Exit C leads toward Xiazhuangyuan Street and the mosque, near Yan'an Road and the Guomao Plaza.
