📜 About & history

The founding date of Gubeikou Mosque is unknown; a stele found in the courtyard records a rebuilding in 1629 (2nd year of the Ming Chongzhen era). The present mosque was rebuilt in the Kangxi era of the Qing by Ma Jinliang, the Gubeikou garrison commander. It became a Miyun County protected relic in September 1996 and reopened after restoration in 2004. It covers 1,925 square metres, with an east-facing prayer hall.
