📜 About & history

The Gonglin Road Grand Mosque serves the Hui Muslim community in the southern part of the Xiyuan district of Qilihe, where Gonglin Road meets South Ring East Road. It is one of the congregational mosques that grew as the Muslim population expanded southward from the historic Xiaoxihu and Xiyuan cores. The mosque provides daily prayers, Friday congregation and community services to nearby residents. It is registered as an Islamic activity venue in Qilihe District.

Five daily prayers and Friday Jumu'ah (midday) are held; ablution facilities are on site. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered; headscarf for women) and remove shoes before entering. Visit outside prayer times unless attending prayer.

Take a bus to the Xiyuan / South Ring Road (西园/南环路) area in Qilihe District and walk to the Gonglin Road junction.

From the Xiaoxihu / Xiyuan Muslim district it is a short taxi ride south to the Gonglin Road area.

From downtown

About 5 km southwest of the centre; a 15–20 minute taxi ride. Metro Line 1 runs along the river to the north, so a taxi or bus from Qilihe station is easiest for the final stretch.
