📜 About & history
Dongtaihe Mosque is at the west end of Dongtaihe Village, 4 km east of Yuzhou, and was founded in 1931. The village is shared by Hui and Han, with some 400 Hui residents. The first mosque, in the northwest of the village, had a simple hall and ablution room; in the 1980s village replanning led to a new mosque on a 560-square-metre plot at the west end. In 1999 the west prayer hall was doubled in size; there are now an Arab-style gate tower, a moon-watching tower and north and south lecture halls.
