📜 About & history
Dingzhou Mosque, also called the Libai (Worship) Temple, was founded in 1348 during the Yuan dynasty, making it one of the oldest surviving mosques in Hebei. It preserves a famous stone stele carrying both Chinese and Arabic inscriptions that record the mosque's founding, an important source for the history of Islam in inland China. The complex follows a traditional Chinese courtyard layout with a timber prayer hall. It is protected as a national-level Major Historical and Cultural Site under State protection.

As a protected relic the mosque is also an active place of worship, holding the five daily prayers and the Friday Jumu'ah prayer for Dingzhou's Hui community.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
Reachable by Dingzhou city buses toward the old town / Zhongshan Middle Road; alight near Qingzhensi Street and walk in.
Dingzhou is on the Beijing–Guangzhou rail line between Baoding and Shijiazhuang. From the station, take a taxi to the old town; this Yuan-dynasty mosque welcomes Muslim visitors, with halal food nearby.
The mosque is in the old core of Dingzhou near Zhongshan Middle Road, an easy taxi ride from Dingzhou railway station and the city centre.
