📜 About & history
As Muslims from Jiangnan, Anhui, Shaanxi and Sichuan settled in Dazhuang, the old Ming-era mosque became too small, so a new mosque was built on the present site in 1807 (Jiaqing 12). The well-preserved Ming-Qing timber complex covers about 17.85 mu (nearly 12,000 sq m) with 18 buildings — often called the second-largest surviving ancient mosque architecture in China after the Great Mosque of Xi'an. Listed as a provincial protected cultural relic in 1998.
