📜 About & history
Daweihe Mosque, in Daweihe Hui and Manchu Township of Wen'an County, was founded in the Ming Yongle era (1403) and restored under the Qing Qianlong emperor, whose period style it still keeps. The main hall rests on six pillars with upturned corners, and above its door hangs a plaque in Qianlong's hand reading "Zheng Da Guang Ming". According to steles in the mosque, the Uyghur consort Rong (popularly "Xiangfei") sent a Hui eunuch named Cao to oversee its repair; his tombstone is preserved in the mosque.
