Daqing Mosque was originally founded as the 'Daqing Muslim Service Center' in October 1982, following an influx of Hui Muslims to the city with the growth of the oil industry and the development of Daqing as an oil city. The Daqing municipal government funded the center's establishment, and it was later renamed Daqing Mosque. The building was constructed in a modern style using cement prefabrication, steel, and brick, with the prayer hall and entrance gate decorated with Arabic architectural elements including domes and crescents; the compound comprises a prayer hall, north and south lecture halls, and an ablution room.
