📜 About & history

Built in 1519 in the Ming Zhengde era by the noted Hui figure Yang Jimin on South Gate East Street, this ancient mosque was repaired in 1574, 1733 and again in the 1940s-1950s. Facing south with the old city moat to its rear, the roughly square, six-mu compound is built in traditional palace-hall style and is one of the best-known old mosques in southern Hebei.
