📜 About & history
Caoqiao ("Grass Bridge") Mosque was first built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty and rebuilt around 1866 after being destroyed in the Taiping Rebellion. In 1997 the mosque was moved about 40 meters south from its old site on Dading Lane to its present location on Ganyu Lane. A full reconstruction ran from 2002 to 2005, expanding the grounds to nearly 2,500 square meters. It serves the Hui community of southern Nanjing near the Confucius Temple district.

- Line 3 Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) （夫子庙）
City buses serve the Fuzimiao / Jiankang Road area near the mosque; check Amap or Baidu Maps for route numbers.
Located in the historic Fuzimiao quarter with halal eateries nearby. A quieter neighborhood mosque; greet the caretaker on arrival.
From Xinjiekou take Metro Line 3 to Fuzimiao station, then walk a few minutes to Ganyu Lane.
