Baisha Mosque is in Baisha Village northwest of Yuzhou town, about 230 m west of Baisha South Street Primary School on route S237, and was founded in 1951. Many Hui workers took part in building the Baisha Reservoir, and the authorities allotted land between the north and south hamlets for a mosque, finished that summer with a three-bay west prayer hall and three north rooms for living quarters and ablutions. About a thousand people prayed here at Eid al-Fitr in 1951.
