📜 About & history

Anwai Mosque, formerly the Anwai Daguan Mosque, originally stood at 22 Xihoujie outside Andingmen and is recorded as built in the Jiaqing era of the Qing dynasty. In the late 1980s it was demolished to widen Andingmenwai Street and rebuilt at its present site south of the east gate of Qingnianhu Park, reopening in 1991. It now covers more than 500 square metres, with men's and women's prayer halls and ablution rooms.
