Zhongshan

Zhongshan is a prosperous city in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong, named after Sun Yat-sen (Sun Zhongshan), the founding father of modern China, who was born in nearby Cuiheng village. It is a major manufacturing hub, and its town of Guzhen is known worldwide as 'China's Lighting Capital', producing a huge share of the country's lamps and fixtures. The city blends garden-lined boulevards, Cantonese food culture and a strong overseas-Chinese heritage. Located between Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Macau, it is well placed within the Greater Bay Area economy.
