Jinzhou

In Liaoning province

Jinzhou is a historic city on the Bohai Sea coast in western Liaoning, long a strategic gateway between north China and the northeast, famous for Mount Bijia with its tidal causeway and for its barbecue culture. It has a temperate monsoon climate. An airport and high-speed rail connect it to Shenyang and Beijing. For an international student, Jinzhou offers coastal scenery, revolutionary-war history, and a hearty northeastern food scene.
