Hezhou
Hezhou lies in the northeastern corner of Guangxi where the province meets Guangdong and Hunan, in a landscape of karst peaks and clear rivers. Its best-known attraction is Huangyao Ancient Town, a well-preserved Ming-and-Qing-era water town of stone lanes and old bridges. The area is rich in marble, kaolin and rare-earth resources and markets itself as a 'longevity' health-tourism destination. Local cuisine reflects both Guangxi and Hakka influences, including fermented black beans and snail noodles. Ecotourism and stone processing anchor the local economy.
