Anshun
Anshun is a city in western Guizhou known across China as the home of Huangguoshu Waterfall, the largest waterfall in Asia. Its economy blends tourism, agriculture, traditional batik and Ming-dynasty 'Tunpu' cultural heritage, and manufacturing, and the region is ethnically diverse with large Bouyei, Miao, and Hui populations. The city is served by Anshun University and lies on the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway. It has a humid subtropical highland climate with mild temperatures, frequent mist, and cool, pleasant summers. For an international student, Anshun offers spectacular karst landscapes, cave systems like the Longgong Dragon Palace, and sour-and-spicy Guizhou cuisine.
