A national 4A-rated forest park in Donggang District, Rizhao, stretching along 7 kilometres of golden sand coastline and covering roughly 800 hectares. Originally the Dashawa forestry farm founded in 1960, it holds the largest metasequoia (dawn redwood) forest north of the Yangtze, with 78% forest cover, more than 300 tree species and 248 recorded bird species. The park has been free to enter since 2020 and hosts seasonal events such as a lotus festival and a beach music festival.
