ℹ️ About
The joint tomb of Tang emperor Gaozong and his consort Wu Zetian, the only reigning empress in Chinese history, cut into Mount Liang about 6 km north of Qianxian county town. It is the best preserved of the eighteen Tang imperial mausoleums and has never been robbed. A long spirit way is lined with monumental stone winged horses, guardians and stelae, including the famous Wordless Stele and the sixty headless statues of foreign envoys. Listed in China's first batch of protected national monuments, it was upgraded to a national 5A scenic area in 2024. The ticket also covers the satellite tombs of Prince Yide, Princess Yongtai and Prince Zhanghuai with their Tang murals, plus the Qianling Museum.
