ℹ️ About

A scenic area on the east bank of the Yangtze south of Nantong, made up of five hills — Junshan, Jianshan, Langshan, Ma'anshan and Huangnishan — with Langshan itself ranked among China's eight famous Buddhist mountains. An official named Yangjun renamed the hill from 'Wolf Hill' to the more auspicious 'Langshan' (beautiful hill) between 990 and 994 during the Song dynasty, and its slopes are dotted with historic Buddhist temples and shrines. The area is designated a national AAAA-level tourist site and a provincial scenic spot.
