The Pottery Art Village at 1 Qiaoshan Road, north of the county town of Fuping, Weinan, opened in 1999 as China's first comprehensive cultural tourism park devoted to ceramic art and is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). Covering 800 mu, it has more than ten international ceramics museums, including the main hall and Nordic and French halls, showing over 10,000 works by more than 500 ceramists from over 50 countries. Built beside the Tang-dynasty Dingzhou kiln site, it has a pottery workshop where visitors can shape, glaze and fire their own pieces under guidance. It has been named a national industrial tourism demonstration site and a Shaanxi cultural industry base.
