📜 About & history
Gouxiang Mosque, 25 li south of Ningling county town, was founded in 1602 (Ming Wanli era) and is one of the county's old mosques. Its prayer hall was rebuilt in 1765 and 1864 after floods and wars, the men's hall was enlarged at the end of the 20th century, and a two-storey Arab-style women's hall was built in 2014-2015. It has men's and women's prayer halls and ablution rooms, a lecture hall and a reception room arranged in three courtyards. In 2021 the county funded an improvement project.
